This was taken arriving in Guernsey for a concert. The plane was an old Dakota DC8 which shook us up, to say the least!


 

1959

Way Out! Bexhill Station.

This was taken during the Eddy Cochran tour. We travelled on British Rail for the majority of the tour 3rd class. During that time we formed the BRSM (British Rail School of Music) As we were not driving in the dreaded Dormobile, we had time to study music, practice….

Brian attended the 75th birthday party of Elvin Jones, one of the greatest jazz drummers of all time, at the legendary Blue Note club.

Attending the event were some of NY's finest drummers and the evening was hosted by Bill Cosby.
